High-sensitivity Tactile Perception for Multi-DoF Robotic Hands 2026/09/29

Introductions

As the demand for intelligent services grows, robotic hands capable of human-like manipulation and tactile sensing have become essential. Most commercial products still rely on rigid structures with low degrees of freedom (DoF) and limited tactile integration, making it difficult to perform tasks such as compliant grasping, slip detection and precision force control. To overcome these challenges, we have developed a high-DoF robotic hand that seamlessly integrates advanced tactile sensing and control.

Technical Advantages and Features

  • Multi-DoF Robotic Palm: Tendon-driven actuation mimicking human finger movements for versatile grasping. 11 Degrees of Freedom (DoF) powered by 5 independently articulated fingers.
  • Ultrathin, High-density Tactile Sensing: Ultrathin (< 1.0 mm) high-density sensing (8 cells/cm²) with 10 gf sensitivity for precise force detection. Integrated force-transmission structure offering > 5 times sensitivity compared to sensors without force-transmission structure.
  • Micro-force Tactile Sensing & Human-like Grasping: Multi-DoF dexterous hand optimized for sophisticated, human-like precision grasping. Micro-force tactile array for enhanced real-time grasping and force control. Object slip detection to ensure safe and reliable human-robot collaboration.
