Biography

Bing-Shiang Yang received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Dr. Yang’s research focused on robotic mechanism design and electromechanical integration, human-robot collaboration, smart manufacturing technology development, medical technology innovation and regulatory/business strategies, assistive technology for the elderly and disabled, and health promotion strategies across ages. He is also experienced in 3D printing technology and application, patent strategy, startup business and fund raising strategy, mechanical and thermo-fluid analysis and simulation, and biomedical applications.

Dr. Yang’s teaching and research achievements were recognized by IEET Outstanding Teaching Award from Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan in 2019, Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who in 2017, and Stanford Design Challenge 3rd Place in 2016.
