Chih-Hsuan Shih

Biography

Chih-Hsuan Shih currently holds the position of manager in ITRI at the Intelligent Robotics Technology Division, and he is instrumental in advanced robotic technology development. With a background in mechanism and computer science, Chih-Hsuan Shih brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. He received Bachelor’s degree from Department of Mechanical Engineering of National Taipei University of Technology, Master's degree from the Department of Biomechatronics Engineering of National Taiwan University. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering of National Taiwan University. His Main research focused on robotics, mechatronics, image processing, computer-aided design (CAD) and mechanism design, computer graphics, and simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM). He is also experienced in deep Learning technology and application, large language models for robotics, patent strategy, business negotiation strategy, and leadership management.

Shih's research studies and innovation achievements were recognized with the Young Manager Excellence Award from the Chinese Professional Management Association in 2021, the National Industrial Innovation Award from the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2019, and first place in the UTMVP computer vision competition hosted by Utechzone in both 2011 and 2012.
