Kao-Hone Chu

Biography

Kao-Hone Chu received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Chiao Tung University. Dr. Chu's research focuses on solid and structure mechanics, composite material and reliability engineering. He is also experienced in EV system integration and EV charing technology.

Dr.Chu drafted two Taiwan National Standards for electric motorcycle charging system before:

• CNS 16127: Stationary a.c. and d.c. conductive power supply systems for electric motorcycle - Standard interface for d.c. power supply systems
• CNS 16128: Stationary a.c. and d.c. conductive power supply systems for electric motorcycle -Digital communication between electric motorcycle dedicated d.c. power supply device and electric motorcycle for control of d.c. charging

Dr. Chu is currently a project manager, mainly responsible for EV charging businesses. He also serves as the laboratory supervisor of the Electric Energy Testing Laboratory, one of Voluntary Product Certification Designated Testing Laboratories of BSMI, which executes CNS 15511-24 (same as IEC 61851-24) digital communication conformance test certification.
