Bor-Tung Jiang

Biography

Bor-Tung Jiang received Bachelor's and Master's degrees in mechanical and electromechanical engineering from National Sun Yat-Sen University, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, in 2006 and 2008, respectively. He is currently a researcher at Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan. His research focuses on automated optical inspection (AOI) system integration, machine vision methods, and measurement system design. He is also experienced in vision-guided robot technology, 3D point cloud inspection, and duel-laser scanner development. He has received patents in robot hemming path compensation, imaging stitching, 3D scanning device calibration, and vision-guided robot positioning and calibration. He has been involved in several research studies and industry projects including the development of a vision-guided robot control module, AOI+ key component. Additionally, he has developed several inspection and measurement systems in aerospace parts, vehicle, 3C, and mobile parts manufacturing and metal processing industry.
