Tsai-Liang Wu

Yu-Liang Chung Biography

Tsai-Liang (Terry) Wu is a researcher at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), specializing in mechanical and thermal engineering. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Science from National Cheng Kung University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chung Yuan Christian University. His research focuses on heat dissipation, nanofluids, advanced thermal materials, and next-generation cooling systems for applications in semiconductors, high-performance computing, EVs, and energy systems.

Terry has contributed to multiple international R&D collaborations and technology transfer projects, demonstrating innovation and leadership. He has received several awards, including the ITRI Outstanding Research Award (2021 & 2025), the Quality Excellence Case Award, and distinctions in domestic innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. His work has also been recognized by the Ministry of Defense and SAE ROC (Taiwan’s Society of Automotive Engineers). In addition, he has received mentorship awards for guiding interdisciplinary teams and promoting industry-academia collaboration.

He is currently advancing innovation in thermal system design and application by incorporating AI, engineering optimization, material innovation, and system integration, with a focus on practical implementation, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and sustainable solutions.
