Shu Huang is currently the Technical Director at the Mechanical and Mechatronics Systems Research Laboratories (MMSL), Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.

Dr. Huang specializes in robotic kinematic and dynamic control, path planning, and mechatronics integration. He has led teams in developing multiple industrial robots, successfully overcoming the technological barriers of the “big four” global industrial robot manufacturers, and driving high-value industrial innovations. His work has delivered breakthrough solutions to long-standing industrial challenges and facilitated technology transfer to multiple Taiwanese companies, amplifying its industrial impact.

With more than 20 years of experience in intelligent robotics, Dr. Huang has deep expertise in robotic control, AI-driven manufacturing automation, and mechatronic integration. He spearheaded the development of Taiwan’s first domestically produced advanced semiconductor intelligent manufacturing line and promoted the upgrade of the Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) industry. His achievements have been recognized with prestigious honors, including the R&D 100 Awards and the National Industrial Innovation Award, underscoring his contributions to advancing Taiwan’s smart manufacturing and robotics transformation.
